气流干燥的适用范围

(1)物料状态

气流干燥要求以粉末或颗粒状物料为主,其颗粒粒径一般在0.5~0.7mm以下,至多不超过1mm。对于块状、膏糊状及泥状物料,应选用粉碎机和分散器与气流干燥荦的流程,使湿物料同时进行干燥和粉碎,表面不断更新,以利于干燥过程的连续进行,或者采用将一部分干燥合格的产品返回加料器与湿物料相混合,使湿膏状物料、泥状物料分散成粉状物料后进行气流干燥。

气流于燥中的高速气流易使物料破碎,故高速气流干燥不适用于需要保持完整的结晶形状和结晶光泽的物料。极易粘附在干燥管的物料如钛******、粗制葡萄糖等类似物料不宜采用气流干燥。

如果物料粒度过小,或物料本身有毒,很难进行气固分离,也不宜采用气流干燥。

(2)湿分和物料的结合状态

气流干燥采用高温高速的气体作为干燥介质,而且气-固两相之间的接触时间很短。因此气流干燥仅适用于物料湿分进行表面蒸发的恒速干燥过程;待干物料中所含湿分应以润湿水、孔隙水或较粗管径的毛细管水为主。此时,可获得湿分低达03%~0.5%的干物料。对于吸附性或细胞质物料,若采用气流干燥,一般只能被干燥到含湿分2%~3%。
